Abstract

Verruca Vulgaris is a benign skin condition caused by certain genotypes of the HPV virus, most commonly type 2. Patients often present with one or more painless warts a few millimeters in size usually occurring on the hands and feet. The lesions often resolve on their own without treatment and with no sequelae. We present a case of a 55-year-old female with a 7-year history of recurrent giant verruca vulgaris of the scalp, which is a rare site of occurrence for such a lesion. The lesion was successfully treated topically with residual scar formation after treatment.
